Inner Sydney Tenants Advice and Advocacy Service (ISTAAS) provides free, confidential legal information, advice and advocacy to tenants living in public and private residential housing.

Our services are available to renters living in selected suburbs in inner Sydney. You can check by entering your suburb under 'Get advice' in the main menu.

ISTAAS is a program of Redfern Legal Centre.

Joint statement: Reinstate evidence requirements for evictions due to repairs or renovations

On Friday, 20th June, only five weeks after the new rental laws came into effect, ending no-grounds evictions, the NSW government significantly weakened the rules surrounding evictions for renovations/repairs.
