    Recent reforms to NSW renting laws — including the end of “no grounds” evictions and better rights for tenants with pets — have been widely welcomed, but for the growing number of people who have no option but to live in share style housing, there may be little to celebrate.

    Join the fight for housing justice for older people in NSW
    Across NSW, too many older people live in unaffordable and insecure housing and may be at risk of homelessness. The Lived Experience Action Group (LEAG) is a group of older people with experience of housing stress calling on the NSW government to act. LEAG are looking for new members to join this important work.

    Submission: Anti-Discrimination Act Review
    The NSW Law Reform Commission is currently undertaking a review of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1967 NSW. The Tenants' Union participated in a stakeholder consultation meeting and submitted a submission highlighting some of the key issues and barriers renters in NSW face in relation to discrimination and in taking legal action against discrimination in the rental system.
